History

Welch Laboratories was founded in 1989 by registered pharmacist Richard Welch, RPh and his wife, Linda, as a tolling services provider for the pharmaceutical industry. In 1996, the company invested in a new cGMP facility to meet the growing need for high volume compaction services: toll milling, blending, pulverization, dry roller compaction (also known as dry granulation or chilsonation), and briquetting. By staying focused on our core competency, we have developed and refined processing techniques for more efficient cleaning and product changeover, resulting in a higher, more responsive service level. Welch Laboratories changed its name to WelchDry in 2009, reflecting its position as a global leader in high quality dry roller compaction.

Our mission is to deliver service, innovation, and engineering to enable our clients to succeed. We are committed to the production of superior quality pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, animal health, and select technical/chemical grade products for the clients we serve.
